She didn't deserve to be cheated on; however, she didn't deserve the barrel o' laughs that she was apparently expecting from this prank. You can claim that these kinds of jokes are harmless all you want; they aren't; they damage the trust in a relationship.

it sounds like he was NOT CHEATING "Look, babe, I'm sorry. It meant nothing." Is really generic and vague. I would bet he had no idea what "it." #10 & #32 are probably right. He didn't know what he was apologizing for, but was apologizing nonetheless because the OP was obviously upset.

I can't believe people are actually saying you deserved this. It was a stupid thing to do, yes. But honestly, it's not her fault her boyfriend cheated on her. Cheating on your significant other > Playing a prank. Anyone who says otherwise just isn't smart because by that logic, anyone who does something that isn't funny deserves something bad to happen to them.
