You need to be very clear to people that it is a date. I have had guys ask me to a movie and thought it was another friend outing. They then got really upset when they leaned in to kiss me afterwards and I was like "Whoa buddy." If she is a friend, or you have hung out before, she likely just thought it was a friend thing. Or she was using you. Either way, move on.
I don't think you deserved it, but if I were you I would have just left. ****, who cares if you paid. I bet if you told the workers your scenario and said you were going to leave the movie, they'd gladly give you a free ticket so you can bring someone who won't treat you like shit.
Realize is the preferred spelling in American and Canadian English, and realise is preferred outside North America. How do so many people not know this...?
That's the worst feeling being the 3rd wheel
Wow! That belongs under the FML sister website called: WTF?!? I'd of left both if their asses there and found something else to do...
Well how did you not no she had a girl/boyfriend?
You should of made it clear that you wanted to go out on a date with her
You should have left and told her to have a good time.

Well, that's pretty inconsiderate of her, bringing someone without asking. Hopefully she paid for her "friend".
You didn't have to sit through that. You should have just left.
