Today, I found out all six classes I'm taking have finals on the same day. This is my first semester in college. FML

You can change the time of those finals if u have more than 3 on the same day or same time. That's how Our university is.

That's academic torture OP! Lucky for you though universities have max limits for the # of exams you can write in a day. Go get it sorted out!

Many colleges have rules saying that if you have more than X number of finals on a day, it is within your rights as a student to get them changed. At my college it's more than two. Try searching "Student Rights" on your college's website.

Most universities have procedures for exam conflicts. Talk to your individual profs to sort it out...that's how it usually works.

See if you can get some of them changed around? Good luck Op

Being a person in school myself, I am sure that you can get some sort of arrangement, with your advisor. Best of luck OP!!

Typically you can get them spread out if you have like 2 or more in a day. I remember I used to be upset and would take multiple in a day. At that time, I didn't know that I could rearrange it according to university standards. Please check with your program or advisor so you can save yourself some stress.

Time to bust out Hermione's time turner...

you should be able to change a few of them to another date. at least my university does that if it's 3 or more in one day. you'd have to contact the teachers with advanced notice to make arrangements though. good luck!!!!!

When I was in college finals were during regular scheduled class time. So, I'm confused as to how all 6 classes are on the same day. Are they once a week? Are they no longer than a hour? A standard three credit course is usually earned through three hours of class time per week or did that change too?

A lot of schools have a separate schedule made for finals, and cancel regular classes during the week to give more study time and promote better sleep (i.e., even though I had a bunch of 8:30 classes, there were not finals that started before 9:30). Ideally, this also leads to having more spread out finals, such as having them all a few days apart, instead of three a day. This guy just seems to have terrible luck.

I can guarantee that your school has a policy to prevent that exact scenario. Talk to your professors, your advisor, the heads of the various academic depts, etc. They'll work with you.
