If she's still your friend, does it really matter? Well, maybe, and hurts, but you got a best friend out of it in the end, which is all that should count.

I really don't feel like this is still an FML unless your mom is still paying. I mean at the time, sure. You're 10 and you had no friends so your mom bribed a kid. FML. But you didn't know about it. And if you're still friends, then your friend and your mom both made wise financial decisions.
