Unfortunately that's life, welcome to the world of discrimination! You should really sue though; I'm no genius but I'm pretty sure what they are doing is illigal.
Contact the fair work ombudsman, they'll help find out your rights and help you sort it out.
This probably has more to do with some of the many suggestions here, like actual performance, seniority, more aggressive in negotiating higher pay, etc. Perhaps they work overtime. I find it highly unlikely that you would be paid less simply for being a girl. The "gender wage gap" is a complete and utter myth, as has been repeatedly proven in recent years, but you should confront your boss. If it does have something to do with sexism, sue.

Most of you are telling her to sue or that she should demand a higher pay, and I agree that something should be done about this, but this isn't uncommon. I bet if most of the women on here looked at their pay compared to men with the same job, you would find that it is at least 5-10% lower.
Calm down ladies, no need to turn into sexist lesbians that walk around with alligator clamps or ******** crushers (Google torture in the Middle Ages). This is possibly a situational thing, or maybe their boss is just an asshole. Girls can be the same way, we don't personally know OP, so we don't know what aspects could possibly be affecting her pay. She could've managed to grab the job while holding a lower GPA, or possibly some sort of handicap, such as but not limited to Dyslexia. You can't just go out dismembering men, you have to take in account all the possible variables that could be applied to such a situation.
