just because you're identical doesn't mean you look the same... maybe your sister puts effort into hair, makeup, etc, and you don't. if that's not the case, then it makes no sense they call you the ugly one. and either way, that is so mean

It might not have anything to do with how much effort OP puts in to her appearance or even her personality. A lot of the time, as twins get older, their appearances naturally start to differ. Even identical twins do not always stay perfectly identical.

Even if in your natural state, you look just like your sister, maybe she uses more make-up, dresses nicer, has a nicer haircut etc. There can be differences. But, most likely, the people who said that about you simply can't stand you and talk trash about you.
