Okay guys, here's the story: my girlfriend and I were together for nearly two years, and one day she told me she was pregnant. I didn't know how to react at first, but I eventually came to terms with it and became excited for my son. Fast forward three months: my girlfriend is obviously pregnant now, and I was out drinking with my best friend. We took a great picture together in the bar to celebrate this great moment in my life, and then I asked him to send it me. That's when I saw the pictures of my girlfriend in a recent conversation. I confronted her, and found out that she had been sleeping with him, took the test, and it's his. I broke up with her and stopped talking to my ex friend.

As much as this sucks, it could always be worse. You can make a clean break, the cheaters are forever attached to each other through their child.

How do you know that you're not the father though? The fact that you even thought you might be means that you were also having sex with her. All this means is that there are two (that are known so far) men in the running here. Unless there's some reason that you didn't mention that would make it impossible for you to be the father.

I'm assuming they did a DNA test (They are extremely accurate). It would still be pretty upsetting if they had just told him, but if they have not done a paternity test by now, then they need to asap. She sounds like a whole lot of trouble and bad news all around. I feel really sorry for that baby, no matter who it came from.

OP phrased it "going to be a father," suggesting that baby isn't here yet. It's much less risky (and cheaper) to test after baby is born. So I would hope that they would go with that. And yeah, that poor kid gets to have a pretty shitty start to life.
