you know, that actually happened to me once. I poured my heart to the girl I love on the phone and it turned out that her friends were listening to the whole conversation and laughing at me. It sucks but at least you now know that she is not worth your time.

Why do so many people get crushes on douchebags like these? I get that she is probably the kind of popular girl who knows how to always be in the center of attention, but don't these kinds of shallow people make it clear from the beginning that they have zero respect for those whom they deem beneath them?

That is not always true #32. I have hung out many of the popular girls when I was in High-School and none of my friends were like this at all. As a matter of fact they were always the nicest girls around. I guess that it just depends on morals and respect and clearly this chick that did this to OP has zero of either. But not all popular girls are like that.
