Today, I got into a slight spot of shit with my new boss over his speech. Apparently he was not actually impersonating Sylvester the Cat, and he just has a speech impediment. When I jokingly said "sufferin' succotash" to him, he wasn't pleased at all. FML

The odds of him impersonating Sylvester the cat are much lower than him having a speech impediment ..

FYL for the mixup OP but next time id be a bit more careful on how you ask about it.

Oh bud, never talk to your boss like they are your peer unless you personally know them.

Don't just assume he's impersonating some fictional character because the odds of that are much lower than him having a speech impediment. It was an honest mistake but just don't do that OP because you could bring back memories of bullying and seriously hurt his feelings.

Congratulations, you are now, in his eyes, Tweety Bird. He's gonna getcha.

You shouldn't assume these things.

Be careful when you say things OP, it may come back and bite you in the ass.

Why in the world would you assume your new boss was impersonating Sylvester? People DO have speech impediments, you know.

You know what they say: when you "assume", you make an ASS of U and ME.

You do mean your new ex-boss right?
