SadRetailWorker tells us more.
I almost wish this is what it was, my job description is basically to ring up a customer selections and try to sell them our membership maybe helping people when they are close to the registers. All that gets done while still getting great customer reviews. I'm currently doing all that plus doing 75% of the work the unfilled position of head cashier is supposed to do.

Maybe suggest working together to better divide all of the work?
I'm waiting for downvotes
Are we supposed to act like many of us did not see the creepy hacker post on this site?
I guess they got it sorted out.
Yeah, so far I got it twice.
Change your passwords!
The person's twitter has the message posted on it. criminal969. He/She wants money. Good luck with that. Edit: There it is again.
it came up on my screen now? what's going on
Hey Alan or Siren, is there anything you guys can tell us? Change passwords, unlink Facebook from our accounts, something? We realize you might be busy but we're all confused here.
Fml we need some sort of update here. On twitter you said you handled it, but I'm still getting these messages. What's going on?
Yup. I got it about 6 times now.
Glad I wasn't the only one who saw it!
it matters because some people use the same password for everything, the sooner they know they need to change it the sooner they can start doing it for all the important accounts especially the ones with the same email.
lmao - I forgot my fml password so many times and my new fml password is just the default unintelligible letters and numbers password that fml gives you when you reset your pw. Haven't changed it to any of my actual passwords - just signed in and got chrome to memorise it so I don't have to. I think I'm good haha
Tell your boss that they need to hire more employees! They pulled the same nonsense on me at my restaurant job and when I confronted my manager about needing another employee to take on the workload they finally hired one. Just try to speak up OP! And if worst comes to worst you can always try looking for a new job.
Simple, stick to your work and when the business suffers they'll have to hire more people.
Or they'll pull some lame excuse and fire op.
The last person that tried that was essential to our digital sales, they started treating her bad enough to the point where she quit.
Hmmm, I think I read this differently. Understanding that you are great for being a 'team player', and beyond thanking you for it, is it possible that they, in as poor a way possible, were saying that: "While you are great at pitching in, you also have a tendency to tell others what YOU think they 'should' be doing. As a result we are attempting to say that your workload might be easier if others didn't mind working with or AROUND you."?
They were speaking of work that someone in a position that they won't fill should be doing - as in a head cashier
That sounds like official sanction to slack off to me!
Is it possible that by completing work other employees "should" be doing, your own assigned work is going undone? I have encountered that with my coworkers before. It can be frustrating from a supervising standpoint.

Who filled out your review? Your boss or was it HR, if you have HR? Cause, if you have it, maybe you should talk to HR about it (not, like, in a complaining way, just, like, in an informative way). Also, you should definitely talk to your boss and make your case (professionally) about how you've been doing the head cashier job and would like to be promoted to the postion (and, no doubt, get the raise that would/should go with it). If they're not willing, then, maybe, it's time for you to give your notice, if they're unwilling to give you the respect you deserve and promote you to the job you're already doing.
It was my boss that filled out my review, and I did apply for the promotion almost a month before I got my review. Unfortunately that has gotten me nothing, so I have started looking for a new job. Hopefully I'll find something!
I work at a cake factory, we have even less people than we're supposed to have just to normally run my area. And instead of hiring people they just keep firing them. Fun times.
...do you work for Sweet Cakes by Melissa?
No.
