Today, I got my hair done, eyebrows waxed, and a new expensive dress to impress my boyfriend. When I got home I asked him if he noticed anything different about me. He looked at me for one minute before asking, "Did you finally start using Proactive?" FML

That's the secret to proactive. It shapes your eye brows and cuts your hair.

Would you rather him say, "I'm glad you finally got your eyebrows waxed. Those things were starting to look like caterpillars."? Us guys don't know about every little thing that you girls put into stuff like this, we just know that you did something. All we really notice is that something about you is prettier.

Making your best to look good is great. It will work on our subconscious mind, no worries. Trying to get us guys to figure out specifics is generally not a good idea. Leave that to your girlfriends.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahaha what a douche! 

Lol at least he thinks you have nice skin eh

He's a man. So you can't expect him to notice something all by himself. Next time say 'look, I got a haircut and a new dress' so he can say 'that's nice honey' en everybody is satisfied.

My Dad rarely notices my Mum's hair cuts, it's just how some men are. He only notices mine because I usually change colours drastically, bright pink to nearly white blond to black, bit hard not to notice that.

hahaha whenever i get my hair done w/ my mom i always sneak in and say to my dad "mom just got a haircut say something nice about it" XD

lol Me and my sister used to do that, too. I moved out, though, so now my sister just tells my dad when my mom has an appointment to get her hair cut. hahahaha. He's usually pretty good with noticing it on his own, though, and when he doesn't notice, my mom just asks him what he thinks. She hardly changes her style, though, so there's never much of a difference. lol

YDI for asking that question. It may be a tough lesson to learn, but really: this never ends well.

Bummer. But he is saying your face is more clear than before. I'm pretty sure it's sort of a compliment.
