I got one of the worst burns of my life a few years ago. Found a product in the lotion aisle that is lidocaine and aloe together. That shit became my lifeline. It's blue and transparent. Eat as much coconut oil as you can, put it on toast or in a smoothie. It will help heal inside out. Don't put oil products on the skin, they keep the heat in. There are "after sun" lotions that are oil free. Get that too if they have it. Drink so much water. You literally burned yourself. Keep a full bottle next to you at all times. Eat carefully. When your body is in trauma/shock your digestion is effected. Eat healthful, nutritious, moist food or you will get constipated. Cooling. Yogurt is your friend. Yogurt/avocado/honey is a facial mixture that people make all the time. You can put it all over your body until you find the aloe/lidocaine. If you can't find the lidocaine at the drug store, try a pet store. They have the same thing for "hot spots" when a pet is itching themselves to death. It's truly difference between level 9-10 pain and level 6-7.
That's what happens in Australia. If you're white (like me) you cover up and wear sunscreen.
OP, I'm gonna say YDI. Sunscreen is a thing.

I did that when I went to Spain. Drink lots of water and lounge in the shade.
