Today, I had gone to the store and bought a new wallet. 5 minutes later a security guard asks for my receipt. Turns out I had dropped my receipt. Some guy had picked it up and pretended I had stole his wallet. The guard confiscated my wallet because the guy had "his" receipt to prove it. FML

Didn't the sales person remember you?

yea, ask for the salesperson. ask the security to check the cameras. there is always a camera above the cashier.

Hopefully you had a driver's license in your wallet, so you could clearly see that it was your wallet.

I would have asked him to check the security camera and verify that you were the purchaser with your cashier. If you paid with a check or credit card, they would also be registered to your name. Then I would inform them, that due to their inability to make rational decisions, I wouldn't be returning to their store.

thats what you get for being careless and dropping your receipt. next time vice grip that shit

tell the security guard "Okay let's do this, lets all go check out the video from the security camera, and we'll see who's the thief. I'm not leaving the store, and neither are you. And after we check on the video, I WANT YOU GUYS TO CALL 911 AND GET THIS GUY ARRESTED, OR I'M SUING YOU, YOUR BOSS, AND YOUR STORE"

You shoulda told the security guard to check the cameras... and it's a SG they can't arrest you or anything you shoulda just ignored and walked away

They can't arrest you but they can detain you and call the cops.

There should be a credit card last 4 digits on the receipt. If you paid with cash, then my bad...
