Collect is a pretty common term in Ireland for picking someone up. It wasn't implying she sees her daughter as an item.

So many comments saying Why would she do that? I find it highly unlikely that she was getting out of the shower, slipped and landed on it, What the hell do you think she was doing? As for "how did she manage to get it in there" It's called lube, There's much worse being pulled out of vaginas all over the internet.
