legally you can report him to a manager and he can be adked to leave the store, that counts as verbal assault to an employee, just because you have to be nice doesnt mean you have to serve someone who is verbally violent to you without cause
I remember one time this had happened to me but when I told the costomer to have a wonderful day he turned and yelled "Don't tell me how to live my life!" ...
Texas? Texas.
Made an account just to comment. We shouldn't be so quick to judge this man as we don't know his side of this. He could have just lost a family member or been fired from his job. Maybe even lost his kids. You can't help taking that kind of stuff out on other people and I'm sure none of you can't tell me you haven't taken your anger out on someone before.
No, I've never gone around screaming and swearing at strangers just because I had a bad day. Most mature adults are capable of controlling themselves in public.
deep in the heart of Texas
I agree with your customer. Don't tell me what kind of day to have. It puts all kinds of pressure on me to go out and manage to have a good time somewhere.
Ask the manager to ban him from the store maybe?

Drake and Josh anyone? "Have a good day." "Don't tell me what to do."
I would have just laughed. People like that you have to feel sorry for. They live very angry lives.
