there was a rumor that I had cancer in high school. I also heard that I apparently have AIDS.
ydi for being a freak
Hmm.. hard decision here: YDI for eating to much and FYL for the depression thing, dude I sometimes get the depression thing, I undestand what you feel :) also FYL for those rumors, remembers me when they went all "0MfG u liek MeTaLlIcA lulz" just because I bought the new Metallica album(Death Magnetic) it was annoying(even more annoying that they didn't knew I listened to Death and Black Metal)
boo ******* hoo
So what? Laugh it off, it's not like you are pregnant and it's not as if you really cared too much about the school in the first place if you were going to drop out for something a lot of people going to school manage to go through anyways. This isn't going to matter to you in five years, maybe not even in a year. There's much more to life than what is happening at the moment.
Seek a therapist. Very helpful- someone to talk to, who can't judge you, and who has to keep everything confidential. Also helps you see things from a healthier perspective. If someone asks if you're pregnant, simply tell them that you were ill for a few days and haven't been able to get any exercise recently. Make it seem boring and they'll eventually get bored. I went through depression too, although not severe, it was chronic- reoccuring- and took a lot out of me. Listening to music often helped. Get better soon, OP.
That shit happened to me when I was in high school, but the rumors spread farther than a pregnancy and wasn't only restricted to my high school, which is why I miss living in a city. You'll get over it, and learn to laugh about it when high school's over, if not, during high school. A lot of the bitches that were talking about me got pregnant, so clearly they got what was coming to them. Maybe the same will happen for you? Either way, don't let it get to you, just keep going on in life.
The exact same thing happened to me except it happened in 8th grade, not high school. Oh yea and my "best friend" was the one who started the rumor.

Welcome to high school. The place where the ****** become bigger ******, the rumors are crueler, the idiots stay idiotic, and... Everyone gets the picture. I know what it's like OP. My freshman year, not even halfway through, all the people I grew up with were spreading the worst rumors ever. It's true when they say everyone's waiting to say something bad about someone else. Hopefully, you won't have to start over at a new school like I did and you'll be able to properly treat your depression. In a few years, no one will even care. I'm out of high school now and I could care less; whoever started everything is hardly my friend anymore. You're probably a freshman or sophomore. It gets better, trust me. However, if your depression is affecting your attendance, you really should be seeking help. It's only for the best. [/serious comment]
i'm sure that rumor helped your depression a lot :[ haha fyl
