Today, I heard my daughter scream at my son through the bathroom door, "Are you jacking off in there or something?" and him scream back at her "Shut up you fucking cunt!" My daughter is 7 and my son is 8. FML

Wow. I blame public schools? Harrr. :B

What sort of vulgar environment are you raising your kids in? Or is it simply the way our schooling system has come to nowadays... FYL & YDI.

#640/641, I beg to differ. I am an adolescent myself and I am acquainted with many screwed up kids who have the most wonderful, put-together parents. It's true that bad parenting skills could contribute to the problem but that's not always the case. I believe a child's friends have more of an impact on how he behaves than his parents do. I know a kid who has loving parents who do everything to prepare him for a better future. He teepees houses at night and does pot by the creek. Another kid with similar parents got arrested for illegally possessing firearms. In this parent's case obviously I believe it would be best that she reprimand her children for using such language, but it isn't necessarily her fault. Don't always blame the parents if their children are messed up.

I find this hard to believe but if it is true, you pretty much fail at being a parent. Way to have a nice living environment in your house.

Holy Crap, I didn't even know these words until I was way in middleschool. Can't imagine little kids talking like this. I blame schools and tv.

Haha, I started swearing pretty early. I'd love to hear that. And really, it has nothing to do with parenting, for most. My parents never swore and I still said "****" with knowing what it meant at the age of six. I began swearing a lot, sounding pretty baller, I must say, at ten or eleven. Oh, and guess what? At 6 I was at a private, nursery school. At 9, I went to one of the top schools in the U.S. At eleven, I went to one of the top schools in Canada. So, really, schooling doesn't have much to do with it. I never curse in front of the rents or any adults, really, though.

I agree with you #659. Ive been going to a private school my whole life and im not allowed to curse but I do it anyway. And was taught not to do it. I know alotta words, guess its just my friends.

you cant blame the media...i have yet to see one tv show or movie that says the word "****" in it. and its your own fault anyway if your children are watching such movie

alright, its not the schools. Its the people IN the schools, and the people their growing up with, and their influence on those children.

Wow...teach your kids some common sense. That is sickening.
