When I was a cleaner I never stood up a client. I didn't mind people hiring me for jobs like this as sometimes people are just overloaded and need a hand. But I'm guessing you either a) didn't give her a key, b) didn't leave necessary items like the vacuum cleaner where she could find them, c) left the floors and surfaces covered with junk so she couldn't get to them to clean them (we can't tidy up, we don't know where your stuff lives) or d) she took one look at your home and thought "This is so not worth it for minimum wage." But if she didn't show up for no reason then yeah, FYL.
Dudee... angie's list!
" Today, I was all set to clean a client's house, but when I got there, his mother in law was already there, and paid me double, and sent me home. MLIA.."
maybe plan more than one day ahead
that just proves that you're lazy fail
Do it yourself lazybones!!! Then none of that would have happened would it've?!
Why is everyone looking at the negative side of things? OP could actually be good at keeping things neat and organized. her in laws are probably rich and are really strict when it comes to cleanliness, so OP hired a cleaning lady. The in laws came early and the OP might have not been in the house at the time.

YDI for being so lazy OP.
And instead of helping her you're on FML
