Today, I hugged my dad. Since I don't hug him very much, he was confused. When I pulled away from him, smiling, he slapped me, saying the smiling and the hug made it look like I was "up to something." FML

LOTS of people? What the hell kind if question is that? Why is it impossible for daughters to get slapped? If no daughter other than me has ever been slapped by a parent, I have more of a grudge with my dad than before this new shocking info.

I've been shaped multiple times!! Aha. 'Old fashioned tough love' is what it is. I would NEVER consider it child abuse. It's not. Sometimes we're just messing.

I've been slapped by my mother but my dad refrains from doing so...so I've been raised thinking that it's not right for a father to smack his daughter. But maybe that's just me. My dad has yelled at me and punished me and usually walks away if he ever thinks he'll get to the point of smacking me..I think that's better than actually losing control. Anyways OP every father is different but they always have the best intentions..even though this wasn't exactly something to be mad about...sorry.

I wouldn't go that far to not call it abusive. If its a real, full hand slap, that's pretty out of mine and kind of abusive. Slapping someone in the face isn't what most would deem acceptable or affectionate.

Dude.... no.... never ever wish this upon a man that doesn't deserve it.. yeah he slapped her, so, it'll hurt for a minute, there is way worse out there. But dude seriously... this is too far.
