Today, I jumped into a pile of snow which had built up against a wall. Turns out it wasn't snow but a pile of cement covered by an inch of snow. I now have a 3 inch cut along my leg and a sprained wrist from falling. FML

Today, I emptied out a bottle of water onto my porch as I was going into my house. Only a couple of hours later, I decided to leave and slipped on what had turned into ice, bruised my tailbone and sprained my wrist. FML

Today, it was snowing but I had to let my dog out, so I picked him up and carried him outside. I slipped, landed on him and ended up breaking his leg. FML

Today, I was driving on roads that were bad from two days of snow. I spun my car out, and ended up half-way in a ditch. Thinking that I could push my car out of the snow, I got out of my car, landing in waist deep snow. When trying to get back in, I fell neck deep into snow. FML

Today, I'm at my grandparents' house to help clear snow. I was making a path to the driveway by pushing the snow out of the way. I saw a big pile and went to kick it really hard. Alas, it was a step. FML

Today, I went on a work team-building day at a snow park. Thirty minutes in, while I was climbing out of a slide, my 210 lb coworker ploughed into me in a donut ring. He obliterated my ankle and I've now got three months in a cast to look forward to. So much for the building. FML

Today, I slipped on my icy front porch, fell back and hit my head on the step. I tried to get up, but lost my balance and fell halfway into the bush next to the steps. I then looked up to see my very hot, British, Ex-Special Forces next door neighbor laughing so hard he dropped his snow shovel. FML

Today, I tried to walk on the sidewalk. Actually, it was so slippery that I had to shimmy across it. Then I shimmied too quickly and fell down. Now everything hurts. Maybe next time I should bring a sled. FML

How is this a YDI? Like no one else has made that mistake? What ever happened to the old "Pile dead leaves around a fire hydrant" trick that you used against the neighboorhood kids you didn't care for? I'm doubting people have "see through snow" vision to predict this kinda stuff.

This almost made me spit out my coffee! Hilarious. Not YDI at all. Sure, it wouldn't have happened if you had tested it first, but you had a childish impulse (not a bad thing), and did it. We should all indulge our inner child from time to time. :-D Sorry this one didn't work out for you, though. Hey, at least some of us got a laugh out of it! :)

and when you go swimming, be sure the water is deep enough to jump in or dive into. Ease into it. If there are snakes thrash around to get them out of the water. Wear your shoes because of broken glass. and, and . . . Make sure pitch-forks aren't in the hay. and Before you run through a tunnel make sure it isn't only a drawing on the side of a mountain.
