Today, I learned I don't have to spend Valentine's Day alone. My parents invited me along on their date. FML

At least they're thinking about you. But decline, let them have their day :)

Psh, go for it. Skip out before dessert so they can enjoy some of their dinner alone and head to the bar. Think of the free food!

Don't feel bad, the only thing I'm getting is a candy basket from my parents lol. #singlelife

Well that's sweet family dinners are always nice!

I am going to spend Valentine's Day alone as well. At least you get to spend some quality fun time with the people you love :)

My parents have done that with me and my sisters for years. It's not fyl, stop being dramatic.

I suggest that we veto the word "dramatic" from FML, or else the people who use it realize that these stories are what makes FML a thing.

There are plenty of stories that make up fml. This isn't one of them.

I mean at least you have your parents to tag along with if you wanted to.

Being alone on Valentine's Day isn't so bad OP. Its like any other day. My fiance is stationed overseas, but even when he's home he has a strict "No Valentine's Day" policy. He's macho and doesn't like the marketing. I personally think you should let your SOS know you love them every day not just February 14th... So I kind of spend it alone every year! Go to dinner with your parents and buy yourself some chocolate!

I went with Blondi to Valentine's day. To watch a burning at Treblinka. She loved it!

Hopefully they'll dismiss you before your dad is balls deep.

Happy National Singles Awareness Day, or SAD for short.
