This is my life, actually. But without getting fired. What does the rest of the office do? That's what I want to know about my department as well.
Either there is more to the story you are not telling or you should learn from this. While doing good-fast-accurate work is great when you start a job, you want to be careful to not 'over-kill' when you do get busy/stuck and can't keep up it will look like you are losing interest in your job or no longer capable of performing
For all the people saying 'learn to be less productive so as not to stand out/show up others', **** THAT! OP, I've been in your position before. And I'm currently unemployed, so I know how much a new job means to you. But don't let ANYONE convince you to cut back on the quality of your work ethic to fit office politics. There are companies and managers out there who would DIE for a good, productive employee who cares about getting the job done right, and quickly. These are the best jobs in the world for people like us and are generally great places to work, so just be yourself, and eventually you'll find your niche. Work ethic FTW!
Hello lawsuit. Dude u get rich of that
maybe the supervisor was a slowass lazy bitch that didn't ever do anything didn't want to get fired so he/she fired the person to save their fat lazy ass. and for the record that's a lame ass excuse for firing you so sue.
Sue his ass for wrongful termination, its not your fault your good at your job.

Maybe you're just too good for everything.
Bullshit! If you believe it really was the case, file a lawsuit!
