So I never figured it out (although I'm pretty sure it wasn't the God of Farts) but the computer was really old anyway, so I'm just gonna borrow my mom's / use the one allotted to me at work until I can afford a new one. Thanks for the suggestions!

If you have "a childhood laptop" then chances are you are still a kid. So FYL for having a short memory.
If you read the FML right, it said "childhood computer" therefore I am inclined to believe it is a desktop computer from OP's childhood and not a laptop.

OP PLEASE MESSAGE ME I CAN FIX YOUR PROBLEM!! My laptop from ten years ago had a system bios password admin password and a User password . I got rid of all passwords easily. Someone help/message op and tell him/her that I can help them please!
