Today, I met a great guy at the bar, and we went back to my place. He left before I woke up, leaving a badly-scrawled note saying, "Gone to work, call me!" I couldn't make out the number. FML

Today, my friend and I went to a bar for drinks. I noticed this cute girl and went over to say "Hi." I had a great conversation with her and I asked for her number before she left. She passed it to me on a piece of paper with instructions specifying for my friend to call her and not me. FML

Today, I woke up in bed with a one-night stand. We got really drunk the night before so I went to make a hangover-cure breakfast. Apparently he was so drunk that he didn't remember me, and when he came to the kitchen, he knocked me out with a pan and called the cops. FML

We all do silly things when drinking but maybe ask your mates to look our for you if might happen again. He know where you live (and drinks) if he's interested.

On one hand its possible he meant for it to be illegible; on the other hand if he didn't want to see you again he could have just left without leaving a note. Either way he knows where you live so if he wants to find you he will.

This was on purpose: let her down easy. If you can't read it then it makes you feel like he was interested and your fault for not being able to read the note. So he gets away with a one night stand and being "the one that got away". This guy is brilliant.
