Hey guys! Can't believe this got posted! Some of the comments were hilarious, others were downright mean! Let me clarify something, which I believe would shed some more light on the story. She is a very sweet person and you wouldn't ask for a better colleague actually! I actually got round to tell her to stop saying LOL (as in, LOL not L.O.L hehe). That's where started laughing and admitted that she knew that it was annoying and did it on purpose to jokingly annoy her colleagues :) So guess the joke was on us after all :)

You should just talk to her in "text lingo" till she gets how annoying it is. Otherwise try and sit her down, and relay how unflattering it is upon her IQ in public.

Hand her a dictionary and ask her to learn some new words to express her feelings, or just tell her how good it feels to really laugh.

I'd tell her the same thing I told my classmates in school. "Keep talking like that and you won't live to see tomorrow." Needless to say I didn't have friends. Though I don't regret it.

Laughing is supposed to be natural anyway, although she should fake laugh as opposed to saying lol, and you should make better jokes or not say any around her.
