Today, I proposed to my girlfriend. She asked if the ring was a temporary thing until I got a better one, saw my dumbfounded face, then played it off as a joke and said yes. I later found out she'd posted on Facebook bitching about the ring, but with the privacy setting set to hide it from me. FML

That's horrible. I mean, I've talked about what sorts of styles, shapes, sizes I'd like (nothing expensive, just my preferences) with my bf, but only because he hasn't GOT the ring yet. When he gets down on one knee, I could honestly care less what's in the box. The only reason I'd take it to the jewelers is for resizing.
