One of the top comments is kind of rude. It's hard being an athlete-student... Maybe she just wanted someone to congratulate her for her hard efforts and achievements.
In my opinion, this feeling is one of the worst feelings I've ever experienced. Working really hard on something or being really proud of something, showing your parents and getting a bored or disinterested response.
Hahaha. I feel. Sometimes if I have a musical accomplishment and I have a test or something academic the next day, they don’t care. I am not in Honors academic classes or anything. I know they support me, but sometimes they just have to let things go and just celebrate (This scenario has happened too many times.....and I always study like a week or so beforehand, so...). My best piece of advice: ignore it and just tell your friends the accomplishment. You usually get a better reaction
