Today, I sent my girlfriend a text saying, "Your the best girlfriend any man could have, and I think I may be in love with you." Ten minutes later, she responded with, "*you're". FML

She's a grammar nazi. Doesn't mean she doesn't hold feelings for you. You neee to understand that bad grammar can be a turn off for some...

Good thing that she got her senses right, and that she corrected you is positive to show you that you can not do whatever you like :P And I am glad you are not rushing things and use words as "I may love you" But still a minor FYL moment though, since spelling can be hard at times. Or grammar

It was a text ................... grammar and spelling not really that important in those I didnt (opps didn't) think. She sounds kind of boring to me. Who cares that much. If you guys are like that I guess y'all have way to much time on your hands. Your want proper grammar go write a essay, because not even a novelist is perfect, it is the imperfections and cadence of the writing that gives it a real personality.

Except they have editors that go through a manuscript with a fine toothed comb so the rest of us don't suffer.

Well in that case, I guess my friend's facebook status, which reads: "i wuuuv ma baybee SOOOO muc! we gon b 2geda 4EVA bbe!! Lolololol xoxoxo!!!" must be chock full of personality.

Naughty. You don't know your contractions? That's what you get for texting something so important. And if you just THINK so, keep it to yourself.

Get her back by replying to her next meaningful text with, "k".

She really corrected you ten minutes later?, she should have seen the meaning of the text insead of being such a grammar nazi and being disrespectful.

You'll get little to no sympathy from the FML community on this one...

it's always good to check for errors

lol crappy reply to that but she is right

If you were an actual adult, you would tell her you loved her in PERSON not through a text. That's not love. It's a cop out.

Some phones automatically correct grammar. For example, I will type "Im" on my phone and it will automatically be corrected to "I'm". Maybe OP thought that his phone would do the same except he forgot to add the "e" at the end of "youre" so that the phone left it as "your".

I have been faced with this dilemma before, should I say 'I love you' back or correct the sentence? I sent the I love you so it wouldn't be ruined and then after the next reply I said *you're.
