Today, I shattered my iPhone screen. Pieces of glass are chipping out and can easily slice up any idiot who slides their finger across the screen. Unfortunately, I was that idiot. There's blood in the cracks of my screen. FML

What's you point #12? Maybe OP can't afford to have their screen replaced right now. You make it sound like your phone screen magically fixes itself.

If you don't want to replace the screen just buy a normal screen protector and it will keep any glass chips in place.

that's what you get off having an iPhone op, granted it still works with a cracked screen unlike Samsung.. but Samsung Galaxy screens are soooooooo much harder to shatter.

I had gorilla glass on my nexus 5 and I dropped it, and tiny rock hit it just right and shattered the screen. Sometimes it's just bad luck.

More than anything it's the angle at which it hits. I've dropped my iPhone off a 12 foot roof into cement (in an otter box) and it was okay, but with the same case it fell out of my pocket onto tile and it got a huge crack down middle of the screen.

I invested 25 bucks and got a Plexiglass screen protector. I highly recommend them once you get your phone fixed.

They're usually real tempered glass, and amazon has them for around 7 bucks, in case you need one in the future.

That's right. We should just make the whole display diamond!! As if the iPhones aren't expensive enough lol. OP, invest in tempered glass. And do it right. It's amazing and definitely worth the stress of getting it on there just right, first try, with no dirt or air bubbles.

No, you got that wrong, plane mode is only permitted to use in flights in planes! Because if not, the phone will feel like a brick, and the plane would crash! So, you're wrong there. But no seriously, not very funny.

You totally deserve this. You broke a piece of glass and then rubbed your finger on it. If you're not going to get it fixed right away go buy one of those cheap anti scratch stickers and put that over it until you get it fixed.

when the screen of my ipad shattered, i was careful enough to reset the device, and then put it away. the shattered glass wasn't an issue with me.
