Today, I shaved my face after several months of growth. This would be OK if my 4-year-old daughter would still talk to me. Apparently she doesn't recognise me, and I'm scary. FML

At least now you know that she won't talk to strangers!

That's why you got to do the whole 'shave with daddy' thing and let her watch you.

I know how she feels. I was five when my dad shaved his mustache. Took me until his stubble grew back for me to realize 'stacheless dad and dad were the same guy.

My dad did that when I was about the same age. It terrified me too. He grew it back out. And anytime he shaves it off I think of that first time. Oh the memories

Why'd you cut it off?A couple more years and you could be part of Duck Dynasty!

Oh my gosh! When I was in second grade, my dad (who has had a beard for as long as I can remember) would pick me up from school everyday. One day my dad was late and on top of that, he shaved. I not only tried to run from this "stranger" but even after I came to terms that it was my dad, I cried for hours because his face scared me. I feel your daughter's pain, OP, but soon it'll be something you two can laugh about.

I remember my dad did the same thing when I was five. I was terrified of him. Haha!

NEVER SHAVE THE BEARD! Let it grow, if you have a job that allows that of course.

I apparently had the same reaction to my dad when I was two and he shaved his off when he had had a beard for years... I wouldn't go near him... And if he tried to pick me up I would freak out... It's on video... Hilarious yet you can see my dad is hurt.

when I was a toddler my dad had a mullet and he shaved his head and when I saw him I screamed for hours and wouldn't let him hold me for like a month

beards are so sexy, thats what you get for shaving your manhood off.
