That so sucks!! Hope you feel better soon!!
So? The ceremony isn't important (unless you're valedictorian), only the diploma's important. And yeah, Chickenpox is a childhood disease. During late puberty and later, it can kill you.
I hope you get well soon! Don't scratch!!
its really not that uncommon to not get the vaccine (atleast for chicken pox) my sisters and i all got it at the same time when i was about kindergarten age so now its all over with a lot of parents actually expose their kids to it on purpose to avoid a more serious case when theyre older idk but from what ive seen (i could be totally wrong on this, it's just what it seems like to me) lots of people who get the vaccine get chicken pox anyway so it seems kind of pointless...just get the disease and be done
I got it just before 12th grade started, even though I was vaccinated. It sucks but it goes away quick enough.
Urghh, that sucks. FYL. I'm sorry - that really is an FML :( I feel for you...
major suckage, I came down with them two days before my senior prom, missed so much school because I was so sick with them that I had to go to summer school to earn my diploma, so I didn't attend my class graduation either. And the older you are when you get them, the worse they are. Ignore everyone telling you to just put on makeup and deal. Don't go, you're really contagious, and if you come into contact with anyone who is pregnant that can be really dangerous to the baby!
Ow. Did you have chicken pox as a kid--maybe it's shingles, if you had it as a child. Isn't there a shot out now? Hope you can at least use a buttload of cover up. Or embrace it and wear a chicken suit to graduation. :D
