Lokiara tells us more.
I'm OP. No, I do not live at home. I haven't lived at home in 5 years. I currently live in a different country and I am in my home country for the holidays. I preemptively tell my parents where I go because they tend to ask that question when I leave the house. It might be the fact that I am female, but I don't really know for certain.

FYL OP, my parents used to do that to me all the time. I feel your pain.
I'm an adult male and I volunteer that information... Especially if it's a first date. I give my family the woman's name, number, address (if we've gotten that far), date location and what time I plan to get back to my house. It's a crazy world out there. You could be mugged, murdered or you could be involved in an accident on your way to or from your date. If you end up in a ditch somewhere and need help... It's better to have someone know that you're actually missing than your disappearance go unnoticed. I'm not trying to be morbid... just practical.
I use to have this everytime ..although i m not 30 :p
That's what you get for being a 30 year old who still lives with their parents.
#82 I can't wait till the dynamic duo of karma and the economy land you in that exact situation. Maybe you'll learn not to judge others.
no matter how old you are no one wants whats best for you more then your parents. respect his wishes and youll be thanking him later other wise if your old enough move out op. plain and simple.

If you gave him the information, YDI.
YDI for still living with your dad at 30.
YDI if you live at home at the age of 30, or FYL if he's being nosy.

You're still his little boy
"His house, his rules" only applies if she has no choice but to be there. She came home to spend time with them for the holiday. And she is not his "little girl" anymore. She'll always be his daughter but she is not some helpless little kid anymore. 30 is way too old for parents to treat their offspring this way.
