I'm OP. No, I do not live at home. I haven't lived at home in 5 years. I currently live in a different country and I am in my home country for the holidays. I preemptively tell my parents where I go because they tend to ask that question when I leave the house. It might be the fact that I am female, but I don't really know for certain.

I can relate. A little.
You're 30 years old... Why'd you tell him?
At least he cares!
On the bright side, you are allowed to go

Show it anyway"His house, his rules" only applies if she has no choice but to be there. She came home to spend time with them for the holiday. And she is not his "little girl" anymore. She'll always be his daughter but she is not some helpless little kid anymore. 30 is way too old for parents to treat their offspring this way.
Could be an emergency thing needing to know that information in case of emergency
Honestly it doesn't sound so bad to me, being 30 doesn't make you invincible. Then again I don't know if your parents are crazies. This is FML so that's possible. I'd want to know where my children go, not to stop them etc, but to rather have some information to give in an unfortunate circumstance. Such as my children going missing etc.
Once you become a parent you are always concerned about your kids. My dad lived with me before he died. He was 90. I'm 54. He still worried about me. It's just because he loves you and also it's a crazy world out there
Sounds like you need to man the f up
did you not see the fact she posted she's a girl?
what's wrong with your father wants to make sure you're safe?
Why are you living at home?
