how messed up.
laugh at her for wetting her self
Either she laughed because she doesn't think youre pretty enough, or she laughed because she thinks modeling isn't the career she had in mind for you and expected you to be interested in something more scholarly. But on the other hand, I never understood how some people don't realize that it never hurts to try.. You may or may not have a shot and if not, you still have professional photos done :)
Actually, it often it hurts to try, like the OP demonstrated here. Trying gave her ridicule and psychological damage, which the OP seems to have a weak resistance to. And depending on what you are trying, it also eats up a fair amount of your time, the one resource you can never ever replenish.
I think she realized it sounded like getting tea bagged
Haha. maybe you should stop begging and take action on the matter yourself
Family can be cruel, OP. Just hang in there. If you want to be a model, just keep working at it. Ignore all the people who think you can't do it. You'll show them. FYL.
35- As a model myself your wrong. it's about how you present and represent. so before you come putting comment you should probably know what your talking about... yes, getting headshots done would be a good idea and would help boost your chances
As a model, you're the type of model that makes the rest of us look dumb. The comment you replied to was clearly a joke. Seriously. I'm facepalming so hard right now I'm seeing stars. OP, you don't need professional shots to apply to agencies; most, if not all, discourage it because 99% of the time they're unable to be used and you'll have wasted your money. Get someone to take 'model polaroid'-style snaps and/or attend open calls and only apply/accept offers from legitimate agencies. Read newmodels.com at least thrice before you go any further. If you succeed, you'll have the last laugh. If not, you won't have wasted a Christmas present on shots you wouldn't have been able to use anyway and at least you'll have been able to say you gave it a decent go. Regardless, while your family shouldn't have been so overtly cruel, you will need a thicker skin if you wish to step foot inside this industry. Good luck!
Suck it up princess. Someone tried to hurt your ego, and you let them. Whoop-de-fricketty-doo. If that got to you, maybe you shouldn't be looking to get a job where you put yourself up on a pedestal, ripe for ridicule.

Well, you had to get your looks from somewhere.
woow. what is with the douchebaggy parents lately? even if my kids were disgustingly ugly I would never tell them or laugh at them for trying to make themselves more confident. geez.
