Today, I tried for 45 minutes to convince my psychiatrist to take me off my antidepressant. When he finally agreed to do so, I broke down into tears and sobbed uncontrollably for 10 minutes. Hello, increased prescription. FML

anti-depressants really don't even work...well for me anyway

Yeah...You shouldn't be trying to do your psychiatrist's job, OP. I'm pretty sure he knows his job much better than you do, and also knows what you need in terms of medication better than you. So stop trying to self-diagnose and just take your damn pills.

Please don't tell OP to go off of his antidepressants without a doctor's guidance. It doesn't work like that with certain medications..
