Its illegal to tie up a dog. You can have him in your yard, in a dog run, in your house, in a crate but tieing them up is illegal and inhumane. How would you like to be tied up, outside, alone?

ydi for tying your poor doggie up. most dogs that are put down for being aggressive are dogs that are tied up outside, with no exercise or stimulation. not to mention it's unhealthy, unsafe and inhumane. ridiculous. and to the idiot earlier saying that some people can't afford land or fences, that's why there have been many successful companies built around selling invisible fencing, kennels and indoor crates (which would be preferable so it isn't out in the harsh weather). and a dog house is not really shelter from the weather. sure, it keeps the rain out (sometimes), but it isn't heated/air conditioned. and they don't keep other animals out. and the other person saying it's illegal to tie a dog up, I don't know about AZ, where the OP lives, but it isn't illegal in my state.

Shouldn't tie the dog up. Quit being lazy and walk the poor thing. You deserved it.

Have done something similar multiple times. One time my sister dropped the leash and I had to chase the dog in only a t-shirt and underwear without anything on my feet. In mid fall.
