Today, I walked into my new maths class. I stepped inside only to be yelled at by the teacher for nearly 15 minutes. I was then told never to enter her class again and was sent to the principal. My identical twin brother was in her class the period before me. He also has a thing for older women. FML

On a day when your brother is absent, you should go in his classes and pretend to be him while coming onto his male teachers. ;P

I just imagined this in my head and laughed(:

I can tell you didn't walk into your new englishes class.

Please read above rant thread for how Europeans and Australians say 'maths'. I personally think that 'math' sounds odd. :)

I think it would be funny for this guy to come out of the closet

.....I don't know if it's funny or not that you apparently actually do have an evil twin. Wow.

At least you didn't get thrown out of your Englishes class, and I wish I had an evil twin...

Actually, English is a hodgepodge language derived from a mix of Germanic, Norman, and Latin languages. To claim that any one person or culture invented it is pretty ignorant. If you're a languages geek, check out Merriam-Webster online. It talks about how English came to be. For those of you wondering why the OP didn't yell back, in other countries, that plain isn't done. Discipline is a whole lot harsher in other countries' schools than it is in the US, and raising your voice at a teacher isn't acceptable behavior, deserved or not. Different countries have different usages for the same concept, even if it's the same language family. It's called slang and idiom, and it's not confined to English. Ask a Quebecois and a Parisian to speak to each other and see how confused they get, even though they're both speaking French :) I think both the Americans and the Europeans on this thread could stand to be a whole lot more tolerant and less arrogant.

And, OP, FYL. :P Hope you got it straightened out!

I had a teacher was from Australia...that's how they say it, maths.

I don't entirely believe this one, you could have told her your name, she would have looked at the call sheet... I just can't believe this is real, but if it is, I'm sorry your twin is a jerk.
