Based on some of these comments, I get the impression that people think you're a guy.
don't talk unless you know what's being talked about lmao! just a tip :)
Hi, OP here. Thanks for all the comments. To clarify, this story actually happened several years ago, when I had just graduated from high school and had been bullied for some years. By now, I am definitely more confident and most people wouldn't believe I ever had issues. At that party, everyone just laughed after that awkward question. A few people I met there are still my close friends, so despite that moment of extreme awkwardness it was actually a good night.
That is not that bad.
If I were her I'd totally lie.. I don't know why she blurted that out in front of everyone
Because it's not really that big a deal. It's a doctor that pretty much every woman should be seeing at least yearly after age 16 or so.
sounds like her problem and not yours OP; she brought it up so someone would ask and they did. Sounds like that girl wants to talk about her ******.
Good for you for trying!! Even those of us who don't have social anxiety, make blunders like that.

That's when you offer to help get her loose and ready beforehand
Now only to over come awkwardness and awkward silence.
