Today, I was cleaning my old neighbor's bathroom, because he asked me to and I didn't want to be rude. Plus, I was getting paid. He told me to "get the floor pearly white." So I scrubbed, and scrubbed, and scrubbed. Turns out the floor tiles are naturally a dull yellowish. I didn't get paid. FML

lesson: don't trust people when they ask you to clean things to a specific color.

Love it... "didn't want to be rude, and, oh, i'm getting paid for it!"

Well yeah, no way I'd clean some strangers bathroom for free, gross enough as it is.

Thats when u gotta crap/take a piss on his tiles

I think you should have told him that they were yellowish to begin with. And if you did...wow...that is incredibly rude of him. If he knew they were yellow, that means he was just using you to clean his tiles. What a jerk

What a little prick! that's very unfortunate. I hope that was a true honest mistake...

YDI for not going back over there and cockwhipping him until you got your money.

I would have just gotten a can of white paint and poured it on his bathroom floor. Sure it would have looked like crap but at least you could say it was the right color.

dont ever work for him again

thats why you never trust a neighbour, much less clean their bathroom. id go over there in the middle of the nite and trash it!

Making tiles white only works when the dirt/etc is yellow and it's white underneath. It can't make your tiles white if they're intended to be yellow...
