Today, at a party, my friend introduced me to her roommate by spouting the usual crap, like, “You guys just had to meet, you have so much in common.” After 20 minutes of very painful, awkward conversation, it was clear the only thing we had in common was being the only two black people in the room. Today, my friends and I noticed that people, no matter what stereotype, pretty much all have the same type of friends: the mean one, the funny one, etc., and started naming off the people in our group who fit into those personalities. We got to the token fat one, everyone looked at me and stopped talking. FML

They probably just felt awkwardly unmanly about the heartfelt sentiments. True friendships are measured by words more than actions. For example, women will kiss each other's asses and call one another 'sweetie', 'honey' and 'dear', or 'best friends forever!!!' Then they go and talk shit about them to anyone who will listen. Friendship will not last. Men will call each other 'douchebag', 'assface' and share stories about what they did to each other's moms last night. The friendships in which people are comfortable enough to insult one another last the longest.
