Today, I was playing my bass clarinet around the house. I asked my dad if he would be at my concert on December 16th. His response was, "No, I'm working that day." My dad is a plumber, and gets called to work completely at random; he has no schedule. FML

then I would play your clarinet ALL THE TiME. Even when your dad is on the toilet,stand outside the bathroom door. and don't even try to play good. play it as awful and loud as you can darlin!

Bass clarinets are beast man, I'm in a brand new high school and am the only one who plays bass clarinet and DAMN am i needed. Bass clarinets have to match with the low brass such as baritones and trombones, therefore they play a vital roll in a band. If i stop playing when my class doesn't play, the band sounds like something is missing. Plus, when you play really low notes it sounds beast. Bass clarinets are also one of the hardest instruments to play because they require a lot of air to play them. You cannot compare the looks of a trumpet to the looks of a bass clarinet dude. THE BASS CLARINET LOOKS WAY MORE LEGIT. I have a brand new Selmer Bass Clarinet and its so shiny. YOU BETTER NOT SAY THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID TO THAT. And if Bass Clarinets are so USELESS why do they cost $10,000??? THAT'S HOW MUCH THE SCHOOL PAYED FOR MINE. Get your facts straight people and shut the hell up about stuff you don't know. By the way, if anyone thinks I'm "yelling" or mad, I'm not, it's just my 'tude. BUT GET IT STRAIGHT K? Don't be posting shit comments about an instrument you don't play and about someone's dad who earns a decent living. I mean my mom earns like $700 dollars a day as a nurse but you don't see me saying shit stuff to her. $600 a week is a decent living, gosh. K thanks byeee.

I can't believe how many examples of hideous parenting show up on FML! You poor thing. I would gladly come hear you play!! I love the clarinet. That sucks. Even if you don't have a great relationship with your parents, it still means so much to have their support.

Hey!! how would you like it if you worked really hard on something like that. and then your own dad wouldn't even come to see it! it's hard to learn how to play an instrument!!!! the dad should have cancelled the appointment even if he had one and should have went to the concert to support his son.!

YDI for assuming he doesn't have a set schedule. Plumbers DO have a set schedule... You have to work 8 hours a day. Wether you're doing a job yourself or helping someone else with a job. I know this because I'm a plumber and my dad has been a master plumber for 25 years. You're his child, I'm sure he'd go if he could. YDI for being a prick.
