OP here! I'm really surprised this was published! Let me clear up a few things. I do use my own car and I make less than minimum wage here in Michigan as a driver. I was actually in an accident because I was delivering last month so my tips have been going towards repairing my car. I put about $20 in gas in my car a day and the opening shift starts at 11 AM. I was not the closest place to my ex, in fact it's a 20 min drive to where he was working when he called and asked me to bring him pizza since he couldn't leave the garage he works at. He knows I am the opening driver right now because I hadn't replaced my headlight after the crash yet. The 34 cents was the left over change after I gave him back his cash. We broke up just over a month ago after 2 and a half years living together

In the UK we rarely ever tip so i find it really weird when people complain about a small tip, like its still a tip? Its free money?
In Canada, tips are part of a person's wages. The legal minimum wage is lower for people working in the restaurant business than those working elsewhere. To me, that is morally wrong.
I'm in Alberta and they don't have a server wage that is below minimum wage. It pisses me off when places do that. The customer should not be expected to make up the difference because the employer is too cheap. And then it's not fair to the employee if they have a bad tip night and don't make up the difference. Edit: sorry, just looked it up. People who serve liquor make .50$ less.
Aren't servers paid a living wage there though? In the US, they decided to take tips into account so they are paid less and actually are depending on those tips.
Yes, they are paid minimum wage, not a server wage. I think a server wage is stupid. It shouldn't be up to the customer to make up for a cheap employer.
He just proved that breaking up with him was the cents-ible thing to do.
I do. I love pizza any time of the day.
For those who work nights, morning time is supper time.
The "morning" shift at most pizza places usually starts a little before lunch time.
Sorry OP that sucks
That's probably part of the 34 reasons she dumped him.
That would've been very immature
Better than no tip
Lucky number 34..
Whilst I agree that in a way, its immature IF he did it on purpose, but lets be real, even if he knew you worked at that particular pizza place, what are the odds that he would of known you'd be the one to deliver it? Unless he somehow knew you'd also be the only driver available. idk. just be glad he gave you a tip, no matter how small, theres plenty of people out there that don't tip at all. Sucks to breakup though OP, hope things work out for you.

wow immature much? to me it doesn't make much cents..
If you're that upset with someone, why would you order pizza from the place they work at?
