MDoremis tells us more.
Thanks for all the well wishes and advice! I got some X-rays done and thankfully nothing was fractured or broken (and the screws from a previous break did not get wrenched loose in the fall)! I've been lucky enough to be assigned to completing the tasks, favors and whatnot, where I can prop my foot up and keep ice on it. I've also purchased a nice pair of flats, because there is no way I'm falling and breaking myself day of the wedding. As for a response from the bride, she pretty much told me it took a lot longer to fall than she thought it would (I'm super, super clumsy), and to keep off my feet so I can still be in the wedding without hurting myself again.

I'm also in a wedding in 3 days and I'm coughing so hard it feels like I'm breaking ribs. Hopefully I can control the coughing through the ceremony or I might make my best friend mad and ruin her day. Ps apparently this is my 100th comment!
Yay # 100!!
36, try Buckley's. That stuff is basically the only thing to stop coughing.
Buy some flats, put some ice on it, and have someone you can lean on walk you down the aisle.
Limping is the new skipping anyways :)
At least you didnt fall on the wedding day
RICE. rest, ice, compression, elevation. take it easy until then, wrap it up for the big day, and stick to something easy to walk in, maybe ballet flats?
that RICE stuff is total crap. i have sprained my ankle tons of times playing basketball, all RICE was, was a recipe for an ankle that took a month to heal. that is good for reducing pain, but if you want functional, get your ass up and walk on it. with a brace if needed. and then ice it when it gets painful or swollen. i have gotten back up and back to work in a shipping department after 2 days, by walking on it immediately and keeping walking on it and icing every half hour, when going to bed that is when you ice it down and elevate, but during the day get up and walk thru the pain.
The reason you've sprained it "tons of times" is that you never let it heal fully, just enough to be functional. Might as well tape a broken window back together.
Where are you getting alcohol from??
The limp wedding
Add ice! You should be ok to walk during the ceremony and then you can change into comfy flats after

Sprained mine playing volleyball a few weeks ago and so did a friend. Keep it up, elevated and ice it 20 minutes off and on for the two days before while taking ibuprofen every 6 hours to help too. If you got it checked out and they gave you an aircast, try and walk on it with that near the end of the second day and see if you can. The swelling should have gone down a lot by then and might be fine to walk on. Good luck op.
You have a very calm and controlled bride, glad nothings broke, enjoy the wedding and congrats to said nice bride and her groom/groomess
