Ok if there are no guns for the public, then what happens when black market dealers and underground drug runners who have guns illegally, hold up and rob innocent people with no way to fight back? People need guns for protection because believe it or not, the US has higher crime rates in large cities.

Alright, so you're saying people aren't able to obtain illegal items? People break laws all the time, there would still be guns and crime involving guns. Especially if the second amendment was thrown out at this point.

That means we would have to completely trust in our government and law enforcement. Have you seen the state of America lately??? They're not doing a very good job. And the founding fathers made the second amendment, and all our rights, so we would be able to be independent and fend for ourselves in case whoever (including the government) was a threat.

Question is, even if you do have a gun, do you have the guts to shoot another human being, even if you are skilled enough to aim well and not have the gun taken from you? Just because you have a gun doesn't necessarily mean that you're safer.
