Today, I went to buy a birthday present for my boyfriend. While buying him a sweater, the cashier tried to up-sale me by asking if my boyfriend wore briefs or boxers, because both were on sale. Not thinking, I blurted out, "I don't know, they just come off." FML

Uh oh, a Freudian slip. It only happens to the best of us. Don't worry OP :)

It shouldn't have mattered because who the **** buys briefs as a gift for their boyfriend? If anything, you'd be buying him silk boxers.

Yeah, that's not a girlfriend gift at all. Maybe a wife or mom but definitely not a girlfriend. Actually I take that back unless he's incapable of it, he should buy his own underware. My significant other might buy me Victoria Secret but he doesn't buy me regular underware.

i thought victoria's secret is normal underwear

Wow. If your man is needs underWARE he must have an impressive tool.

Or he's just lazy and she's tired of seeing his holey briefs.

That's hilarious! I can just imagine Emma Stone saying that in her raspy voice...You should have followed it with a wink. :p

It's funny how guys are classed as boxer or brief type of guys-- and now boxer-briefs are added to the mix (but those are just longer briefs). Yet many girls wear all different styles of undies. :P

Look at the picture, then back to the name. Now look back at her profile picture. Have you figured it out yet?

Still a better answer than "I don't know, I've never seen his underwear".

It would be worse if the cashier replied, "Last weekend, it was boxers."

That's an excellent comeback, especially if it was unintentional

I dont understand why this is a bad thing.
