Today, I went to get minor surgery done. I have anxiety and a phobia of needles, so they gave me laughing gas. It gave me a panic attack. FML

OP here. I couldn't post for the longest time as I was having a problem authenticating my account. Anyways, I looked up the symptoms for anxiety vs panic attack. While I have general anxiety, I do indeed get panic attacks as well. My symptoms mostly match up with a panic attack.

Oh man I'm sorry OP I use to have lots of anxiety too when I had surgeries but then after the first 2 times but I got kind of use to the procedure for the other 3. I hope the laughing gas kicked in soon!

God that would be a day you'd want to forget.FYL OP

They should go old school and use ether or chloroform then stick a needle in your arm after you pass out.

I have a similar problem where certain medications give me major problems I hope you get better OP

I received laughing gas after an accident once, and after a while it felt like my whole body melted away. When it was just a drop left of my brain and heart, I apparently screamed for morphine instead.

I had that while in labor because the anesthesiologist didn't get there in time to give me an epidural.... it was horrible.
