I would have chosen the cat. My cat is like my son. I could never live without him. He loves me like I'm his mother. I even held him the first day he was born. He's now 3 months old, and is beyond the greatest thing to walk into my life in the past year. I got a boyfriend. He was a piece of shit, and he always made me cry. My cat has never made me cry.

I'm with OP I know severe cat allergies and I couldn't live with a cat, literally. my eyes Swell to the point of blindness and I can't breathe hardly at all, even with allergy medicine, so I don't blame OP, I'd make her choose too. and it would suck to be in your position
