Today, it's been six months since my husband and I have miscarried our daughter who we named Hana Grace. My sister just revealed she is having a girl and naming her Hana Grace since "the name is up for grabs now". FML

Just tell her that it's bad luck to give the name of a recently deceased baby to another baby, as the new one might die like the old one. If it's not working, buy this female pooch.

it's not about OP wanting to use the name for their next child, it's about the memories, sadness and the loss they connect with the name of THEIR baby every time they would have to hear it in the future. it's simply disrespectful.

Wow just ...blood can be so cruel. I'm sorry yours is a Careless, Uncouth, Neglectful (of your feelings), Truclent. As others have suggested it was borish of her to word it such rather than in honor of or similar. If talking to her does not work try the standard slap of rough reality and point out if she values your feelings what so ever she'll change her mind. (Hopefully not to clymidia... Another FML I once read)

Your sister is being awful and needs to realize the name is NOT up for grabs. Your daughter still has that name, even though she wasn't born. I sincerely hope she changes her mind and I hope you have your rainbow baby.
