A large part of an engineering program should be to teach problem solving skills. If your degree is any good, you should be able to handle it fine. Obviously your employer thinks so.
That sucks but it's some serious on the job training and experience. You'll be well ahead of the game when it comes to your peers. Besides, lots of jobs rely on Google. More than most would like to admit.
Except that she's a structural engineer which means that she engineers buildings. Let's hope that college she went to taught her well.
Sounds like you need a raise
Time to shine
First you bust your ass making the shortest project come in beating all metrics. Then you request a promotion, with a salary increase, and put in for two positions underneath you to fill and manage. Welcome to the awesomeness of circumstance! Ps fill the positions with senior engineers who will make you look like a great manager, then learn everything you can from them
Josh is that you!?! O.o
At least you have a job
Fellow civil engineer here! And to OP, I have to tell you: You are creating buildings now, Lives are at the stake here so you have to be responsible, don't throw your fate on google's hands, that will backfire horribly. Talk to your new boss about it, explain to him that you can't do it.

Being the only one, you would be considered the head of structural engineering, correct? So request a meeting with the heads of your company and talk about hiring some new recruits, or at least sending you to a proper training.
Well its the company's responsibility to give you training so maybe talk to the CEO or the head of company
