Today, my boyfriend and I went to visit his grandparents. Everything went well, until his grandmother approached me and asked me if I wanted to try some of her old bras. I didn't want to be rude, so I went with her. Most awkward moment of my life. FML

Could have politely declined, saying you were happy with your own...

Very sweet of you to do that! Ah, the in-laws, gotta have them or no spouse, sigh.

They're not married though.

what is rude about "no, thank you"? I have a few more comments, but they are a bit ruder than "no, thank you."

All you had to say was "No thanks". She was being creepy anyway so it wouldn't have been rude.

"Thank you for the offer, but I really don't need any"?

It is interesting to me how there seems to be this idea that saying no, even politely, is rude.

Hi guys, some extra information here. I did try to get out of the situation by saying they would not fit anyway but she kept insisting I should fit them. So I saw no real way out anymore. Luckily I was able to drag my boyfriend along with me, which made it a little better. At least we can laugh about it now haha.

Oh, I completely thought she wanted to watch you try them on! THAT would have been awkward.

I did that with my own grandma so I feel you but yours is double wrose

"No, thank you, I appreciate the offer but my bra drawer is full" isn't rude.
